{"id":190456,"date":"2022-05-08T01:48:24","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T20:18:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=190456"},"modified":"2022-05-08T01:48:24","modified_gmt":"2022-05-07T20:18:24","slug":"misra-visits-research-designing-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/05\/08\/misra-visits-research-designing-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Misra visits research &#038; designing centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DOIMUKH, 7 May:<\/strong> Governor BD Mishra&#8217;s wife Neelam Misra on Saturday visited the textile &amp; handicrafts department&#8217;s research and designing centre here and interacted with the officials, craftsmen, instructors, trainees and local weavers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Misra, who has been working on a mission mode to popularise the practice of traditional loin loom, motivated the artisans, particularly the trainees, to &#8220;develop entrepreneurship and be self-supporting market persons.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She suggested to them to use the traditional patterns and designs of their own tribes and make in-demand items like coats, shirts, saris, and other popular garments, &#8220;with difference and most importantly with Arunachali identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She urged them to &#8220;return to the intricate and time-honoured weaving designs, inherent to their tribes, handed down from generation to generation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Textile, Handloom &amp; Handicrafts Assistant Director Kaman Pertin briefed Misra about the centre and its challenges.
