{"id":191252,"date":"2022-05-20T01:33:29","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T20:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=191252"},"modified":"2022-05-20T01:33:29","modified_gmt":"2022-05-19T20:03:29","slug":"ad-hoc-committee-on-rti-act-meets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/05\/20\/ad-hoc-committee-on-rti-act-meets\/","title":{"rendered":"Ad hoc committee on RTI Act meets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 19 May:<\/strong> The first meeting of the ad hoc committee on &#8216;Guidelines on Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005&#8217; was held at the legislative assembly secretariat here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The committee members discussed in detail &#8220;the practical working, procedural lapses, lack of knowledge, dos and don&#8217;ts by all stakeholders while implementing the RTI Act, 2005,&#8221; Legislative Assembly (LA) Secretary Kago Habung informed in a release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The guidelines for information seekers under the Act was thoroughly perused and considered for further guidance for improvement for friendly and easier procedures,&#8221; the release stated, adding that &#8220;the committee expressed its unhappiness over the reported misuse of the RTI Act, 2005.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the debate on the floor of the house on 15 March this year, Chief Minister Pema Khandu proposed constituting a house committee to look into the matter &#8220;and examine for consideration by the house to a motion moved by MLA Ninong Ering relating to the guidelines on the Act,&#8221; the release stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thursday&#8217;s meeting was attended by MLAs Ering, Tarin Dakpe and Kento Jini, besides CIC Rinchen, AR Secretary Ajay Chagti, Registrar Habung Donyi, and LA Secretary Habung.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The meeting ended with a direction from the chair that the state&#8217;s advocate general and the law &amp; judicial secretary to attend the next meeting and offer their suggestions,&#8221; the release added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, 19 May: The first meeting of the ad hoc committee on &#8216;Guidelines on Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005&#8217; was held at the legislative assembly secretariat here on Thursday.
