{"id":191279,"date":"2022-05-20T01:45:17","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T20:15:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=191279"},"modified":"2022-05-20T01:45:40","modified_gmt":"2022-05-19T20:15:40","slug":"u-subansiri-da-bans-sale-of-mithun-meat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/05\/20\/u-subansiri-da-bans-sale-of-mithun-meat\/","title":{"rendered":"U\/Subansiri DA bans sale of mithun meat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[ Karda Natam ]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DAPORIJO, 19 May:<\/strong> Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Mika Nyori on Thursday issued an order banning the sale of mithun meat in the district.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All the butchers in the district have been asked to &#8220;refrain from killing and selling of mithun meat in the markets.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, the Tagin Cultural Society (TCS) had submitted a memorandum to the DC, seeking a ban on killing of mithuns, terming them endangered animals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The TCS had also informed that the skyrocketing price of mithun meat in the daily markets has led to a hike in the price of mithuns in every village, owing to which, it said, &#8220;the public are not able to bear the price of mithuns, especially during the requirements arises in the traditional activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The district administration has said that the ban will be in effect from 26 May for five months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Any person found violating the order will be punished under the appropriate section of the law,&#8221; the DA said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[ Karda Natam ] DAPORIJO, 19 May: Upper Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Mika Nyori on Thursday issued an order banning the sale of mithun meat in the district.
