YINGKIONG, 28 May:<\/strong> District mission managers of various DMMU clusters, along with district thematic coordinators, block mission managers, cluster coordinators and block assistants from various project locations are participating in a four-day state-level ‘training-cum-orientation for development of standard operating procedure (SOP) for social inclusion under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM)’ programme, being organised here in Upper Siang district by the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM).<\/p>\n Addressing the inaugural session, Deputy Commissioner Shashvat Saurabh urged the ArSRLM to “ensure skill set mapping,” and advised it to “concentrate on cluster-based approach.” He said that community resource persons under social inclusion “should be oriented for demand reduction aspect related to substance abuse.” He also asked for “sharing of baseline data pertaining to vulnerable section of society with district administration, so as to develop a holistic approach towards social inclusion.”<\/p>\n The programme is being coordinated by the ArSRLM’s Social Inclusion & Social Development Programme Manager Tuhina Gao and ArSRLM COO (P) Rakesh Srivastava. Deepa Rajkamal, who is the national resource person from the national mission management unit of the DAY-NRLM, is guiding the team in developing the final draft of the social inclusion SOP.<\/p>\n Line department officials, including DRDA PD Kiran Ningo, DMO Dr Moli Riba, ICDS DD Aroti Tayeng, CDPO Ojing Talom, and subject specialist from the Geku-based KVK Mehboob Mazumdar also attended the inaugural session, during which the officials of the departments concerned presented briefs on their departments’ schemes.
