This will be followed by a statewide awareness campaign on protection and revival of the rivers in the state.<br \/>\nAddressing the launch function, RGU Registrar Prof Tomo Riba expressed concern over the condition of the rivers in the state.<br \/>\n&#8220;The rivers are going extinct rapidly. It is time we needed to be aware and acted accordingly,&#8221; he said, according to a release from the YMfCR-AP.<br \/>\nThe IMfCR-AP&#8217;s campaign has received a boost with a large number of RGU faculty members joining the mission to create awareness on conservation of rivers.<br \/>\nThe YMfCR-AP meanwhile criticized the state government&#8217;s &#8216;Pare nadi safai abhiyan&#8217;, saying there was no need to spend public money on cleaning the Pare river, which is said it already clean.<br \/>\n&#8216;If the state government is concerned about cleanliness of rivers, it should start its safai abhiyan from the Senki river in state capital.
