{"id":194286,"date":"2022-06-30T01:56:57","date_gmt":"2022-06-29T20:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=194286"},"modified":"2022-06-30T01:56:57","modified_gmt":"2022-06-29T20:26:57","slug":"training-on-fmd-and-management-of-sick-animals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/06\/30\/training-on-fmd-and-management-of-sick-animals\/","title":{"rendered":"Training on FMD and management of sick animals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BASAR, 29 Jun:<\/strong> In view of the emergence of foot and mouth disease (FMD) in various districts affecting a large number of cattle and mithuns, ICAR-Research Complex for NEH Region AP centre, Basar organized an awareness programme on treatment of FMD and management of sick animals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Senior scientist Dr. Joken Bam educated the participants about the disease, its impact, vaccination, care and management of affected animals during an outbreak.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another senior scientist Dr. Doni Jini highlighted the economic losses incurred especially by the mithun farmers due to FMD.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Jini reiterated the importance of vaccinating all the susceptible livestock population.
