{"id":194362,"date":"2022-07-01T00:27:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T18:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=194362"},"modified":"2022-07-01T00:27:01","modified_gmt":"2022-06-30T18:57:01","slug":"hegemony-of-one-religion-never-been-part-of-our-culture-nhrc-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/07\/01\/hegemony-of-one-religion-never-been-part-of-our-culture-nhrc-chief\/","title":{"rendered":"Hegemony of one religion never been part of our culture: NHRC chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NEW DELHI, 30 Jun:<\/strong> NHRC Chief Arun Kumar Mishra on Thursday said that &#8216;Sarva Dharma Sambhav&#8217;, or all religions are the same, has been the ethos of India, and hegemony of one religion &#8220;has never been part of our culture, it never was, and will never be.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In his address at the opening of a conference here on &#8216;Human rights in Indian culture and philosophy&#8217;, he also said that forcible religious conversion was never accepted by India&#8217;s civilisation and it is &#8220;against humanity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Extolling the virtues of Indian culture, he said that all religions speak of peace and non-violence. &#8220;Peaceful coexistence is our culture, our dharma,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;If our blood is not different, how can there be any difference between religions, gods?&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;It is time to think about the oneness of gods, all religions have one goal. Today, don&#8217;t know for what reasons or interests, attempts are being made to create a divide. There is a need to implement again the syncretic tradition of (Akbar&#8217;s) &#8216;Din-i-Ilahi&#8217;,&#8221; he said.
