{"id":195854,"date":"2022-07-20T00:19:32","date_gmt":"2022-07-19T18:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=195854"},"modified":"2022-07-20T00:19:52","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T18:49:52","slug":"195854","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/07\/20\/195854\/","title":{"rendered":"Anti-Corruption &#038; Vigilance Bureau arrests official for accepting bribe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Guwahati, Jul 19 (PTI) A state government official was arrested by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe money in Baksa district on Tuesday, an Assam Police release said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It said a complaint was received by the directorate of Anti-Corruption and Vigilance that a head assistant in the office of the Joint Director, Health Services, Baksa, had demanded bribe of Rs 5,000 from a retired ANM nurse for processing the pension file and regularising pay scale.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unwilling to pay the bribe, the retired nurse approached the vigilance directorate and a trap was laid in the office of the accused.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe money of Rs 5,000, the release said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It added that a case had been registered against the accused and follow-up proceeding initiated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guwahati, Jul 19 (PTI) A state government official was arrested by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe money in Baksa district on Tuesday, an Assam Police release said.
