{"id":19605,"date":"2018-02-14T01:22:32","date_gmt":"2018-02-13T19:52:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=19605"},"modified":"2018-02-14T01:22:32","modified_gmt":"2018-02-13T19:52:32","slug":"over-3-lakh-children-administered-mr-vaccine-so-far-in-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/02\/14\/over-3-lakh-children-administered-mr-vaccine-so-far-in-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 3 lakh children administered MR vaccine so far in state"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>YUPIA, Feb 13:<\/strong> A total of 3,30,000 children have been vaccinated so far under the ongoing measles-rubella vaccination campaign across the state without any adverse effects.<br \/>\nThis was revealed by NHM Mission Director Dr T Raghav in a review meeting on MRVC held here on Tuesday.<br \/>\nUrging the people not to believe in &#8220;misleading and false&#8221; viral videos on MRV, he said the vaccine is free of side effects and the government is committed to eliminate measles and control rubella\/congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) by 2020.<br \/>\n&#8220;The vaccine, which is certified by the WHO, does not cause any side effects and it provides long-term protection from measles and rubella,&#8221; he said.<br \/>\nRaghav urged stakeholders, including parents and medical staffs, to ensure that the campaign is a success.<br \/>\nState Immunization Officer Dr D Padung said all children between 9 months and less than 15 years must get vaccinated during the campaign which is being held in all schools, community halls, anganwadi centres and government health centres.<br \/>\n&#8220;Today&#8217;s vaccines are safer and more effective.
