{"id":196187,"date":"2022-07-24T01:48:56","date_gmt":"2022-07-23T20:18:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=196187"},"modified":"2022-07-24T01:48:56","modified_gmt":"2022-07-23T20:18:56","slug":"with-80-new-covid-cases-arunachal-records-highest-single-day-spike-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/07\/24\/with-80-new-covid-cases-arunachal-records-highest-single-day-spike-in-july\/","title":{"rendered":"With 80 new Covid cases, Arunachal records highest single-day spike in July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 23 Jul:<\/strong> Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday reported 80 new Covid-19 cases, the highest single-day spike this month, pushing the total caseload to 65,231, a senior health official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The toll remained at 296 with no new fatality recorded in the last 24 hours, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arunachal, which remained virus-free for the last couple of months, has been witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases since 1 July, much like the other parts of the country, the SSO said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the new cases, 29 were reported from the Itanagar Capital Region, followed by eight each in Lower Subansiri and Namsai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are 318 active cases in the state at present, while 64,617 people have recovered so far, including 48 on Friday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new cases were detected after testing 437 samples.
