{"id":197747,"date":"2022-08-11T01:26:27","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T19:56:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=197747"},"modified":"2022-08-11T01:26:27","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T19:56:27","slug":"assam-govt-launches-first-drone-school-of-northeast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/08\/11\/assam-govt-launches-first-drone-school-of-northeast\/","title":{"rendered":"Assam govt launches first drone school of northeast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Guwahati, 10 Aug: The northeast has got its first remote pilot training school in Guwahati, as part of the central government\u2019s quest to make India a hub for drone technology, officials said.<br \/>\nThe Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (AMTRON) has joined hands with EduRade, a start-up incubated at IIT-Guwahati, and IIM-Calcutta Innovation Park for the project.<br \/>\nThe drone school was inaugurated by Assam\u2019s Information Technology Minister Keshab Mahanta on Tuesday.<br \/>\n\u201cYouths, after getting training from experts, can work anywhere in the country and in any sector,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nThe school will have trainers certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for conducting the pilot licence training program.<br \/>\nThe facility has been set up at Tech City here, with its flying ground at the Assam Forest School in Jalukbari.<br \/>\nAMTRON has acquired two micro category (not over 2 kg) and two small category (2-25 kg) indigenous drones for the training purpose, the officials said.<br \/>\nThe first DGCA-approved drone training school in India was inaugurated in Haryana last year.
