{"id":198289,"date":"2022-08-19T00:47:27","date_gmt":"2022-08-18T19:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=198289"},"modified":"2022-08-19T00:47:27","modified_gmt":"2022-08-18T19:17:27","slug":"1-arrested-in-suspected-murder-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/08\/19\/1-arrested-in-suspected-murder-case\/","title":{"rendered":"1 arrested in suspected murder case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Staff Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAMSAI, 18 Aug:<\/strong> The Namsai police have arrested one person in connection with a suspected murder that took place here on 8 August.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Namsai SP DW Thongon informed that, on 8 August, information was received at the police station, stating that one Nalasing Chautang had died, &#8220;and accordingly a case of unnatural death under Section 174 of the CrPC was registered.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SP informed that postmortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the relatives for the last rites. However, the result of the postmortem is still awaited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The arrest of the person on Thursday was based on eyewitness account that the deceased had been in a scuffle with three persons, including the arrestee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SP also informed that, &#8220;as per the doctor, there is no identification of any incremental wounds. However, there were marks of bruises on the back of the body, which were three to four days old.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A team of police from Namsai has left for Dibrugarh (Assam), looking for one Deepa Baruah and her son Biswajeet Baruah, who were also there at the time of the scuffle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The police have added a fresh section (302\/34) of the IPC to the case.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, a protest march was taken out in Namsai, seeking justice for the deceased.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Staff Reporter NAMSAI, 18 Aug: The Namsai police have arrested one person in connection with a suspected murder that took place here on 8 August.
