{"id":200031,"date":"2022-09-09T00:27:46","date_gmt":"2022-09-08T18:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=200031"},"modified":"2022-09-09T00:27:46","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T18:57:46","slug":"training-prog-for-farmers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2022\/09\/09\/training-prog-for-farmers\/","title":{"rendered":"Training prog for farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAMSAI, 8 Sep:<\/strong> Seventy-two farmers from Podumoni, Kungseng and Kungsung participated in a &#8216;training-cum-distribution programme&#8217;, organised here by the Namsai KVK on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">KVK Head Dr Debasis Sasmal apprised the farmers of integrated fish-cum-pig farming, and spoke about &#8220;the economic benefit of integration, water quality management,&#8221; etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The farmers were encouraged to adopt scientific rearing of their livestock &#8220;to make it as profitable business and to integrate with fishery,&#8221; the KVK informed in a release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nang Nancy Munglang highlighted pig-based integrated farming, feeding practices, housing, vaccination, mortality issues, breeding strategies, health issues, etc, while Mater Chiram stressed on &#8220;reproductive management of pig and dairy cow, deworming, fodder production,&#8221; etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr Bidyapati Ngangom advised the farmers to &#8220;follow the agromet advisory services to overcome the losses due to sudden change in weather,&#8221; and to follow the weekly messages they receive on the phone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An animal health camp was also conducted.
