{"id":20512,"date":"2018-02-23T01:45:35","date_gmt":"2018-02-22T20:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=20512"},"modified":"2018-02-23T01:45:35","modified_gmt":"2018-02-22T20:15:35","slug":"aapptf-reiterates-demand-on-mvis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/02\/23\/aapptf-reiterates-demand-on-mvis\/","title":{"rendered":"AAPPTF reiterates demand on MVIs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Feb 22:<\/strong> The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) has reiterated its demand for appointment of regular motor vehicle inspectors (MVIs) in the state.<br \/>\nIn a reminder letter to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, the federation said that it had submitted a memorandum to the government on 12 July, 2017 regarding the &#8220;plight of the transport department&#8221;, but the government failed to give a positive response.<br \/>\nThe entire state has only four MVIs, the federation further said and demanded appointment of regular MVIs under the Transport department.<br \/>\nAlso demanding appointments of regular district transport officers (DTOs) in all the districts, the federation said &#8220;there are only 12 regular DTOs in the entire state. In many districts, the posts of DTOs are manned by APPSC officers.<br \/>\nOther demands of the Federation include creation of posts to increase manpower in the Transport department and regularization of contractual employees.<br \/>\n&#8220;The government&#8217;s annual allocation fund to the Transport department is only Rs 70 lakh to 1 crore which is not sufficient for infrastructure development and to solve the shortage of manpower,&#8221; the federation said and demanded increase in the fund allocation to at least Rs 6 to 7 crore per year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Feb 22: The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) has reiterated its demand for appointment of regular motor vehicle inspectors (MVIs) in the state.
