{"id":213643,"date":"2023-03-26T01:15:25","date_gmt":"2023-03-25T19:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=213643"},"modified":"2023-03-26T01:15:25","modified_gmt":"2023-03-25T19:45:25","slug":"villagers-construct-mithun-barricade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/03\/26\/villagers-construct-mithun-barricade\/","title":{"rendered":"Villagers construct mithun barricade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CHETAM, 25 Mar:<\/strong> The annual &#8216;lutv selu&#8217; (mithun barricade) in Dasi village in Upper Subansiri district was constructed recently.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The village&#8217;s lutv selu covers the area from Bamli Yorbe to Dumchin, Umtumm to Mobia, Lidi to Lumtak, and Baleh to Jartam Yorbe,&#8221; Dasi GPC Koje Rebi Dasi informed in a release.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The villagers construct the barricade every year to allow the mithuns to graze within the barricaded area, so that the animals cannot damage others&#8217; crops.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Village elders with good knowledge of the location lead the construction of the lutv selu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The villagers convened a meeting among the mithun owners recently, during which several resolutions were made &#8211; one of them being fixing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">the date of construction of the lutv selu on 15 March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Further, the villagers agreed to continue with the order prohibiting stray animals in Dasi village.
