{"id":214993,"date":"2023-04-19T00:19:37","date_gmt":"2023-04-18T18:49:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=214993"},"modified":"2023-04-19T00:19:37","modified_gmt":"2023-04-18T18:49:37","slug":"sido-villagers-celebrate-mopin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/04\/19\/sido-villagers-celebrate-mopin\/","title":{"rendered":"Sido villagers celebrate Mopin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Correspondent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>SIDO, 18 Apr:<\/strong> The residents of Sido village in Korang circle of East Siang district on Tuesday celebrated Mopin festival with traditional fanfare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Attending the celebration, Finance &amp; Accounts Officer Kopsi Panor urged the villagers to maintain their traditional practices through festivities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sido HGB Tapang Siram said, &#8220;It is a red letter day for the locals as it is for the first time that Mopin festival is being celebrated in the village.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Siram recalled that their forefathers hailed from Yemsing-Kebang (located in present Siang district) to the present Sido area during the early 1900s and later the villages were settled during 1903-&#8217;04.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among others, Koyu ZPM Tagom Padu, Ruksin-I ZPM Aruni Jamoh, and Deputy Ranger Opang Jamoh attended the festival and shared their views on promoting social harmony through festivities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Correspondent SIDO, 18 Apr: The residents of Sido village in Korang circle of East Siang district on Tuesday celebrated Mopin festival with traditional fanfare.
