{"id":215661,"date":"2023-05-03T02:55:24","date_gmt":"2023-05-02T21:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=215661"},"modified":"2023-05-03T02:55:24","modified_gmt":"2023-05-02T21:25:24","slug":"namsai-to-host-c20-summit-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/05\/03\/namsai-to-host-c20-summit-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Namsai to host C20 summit in June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 2 May:<\/strong> Namsai district is set to host a four-day Civil 20 (C20) summit, starting 9 June, in which 150 delegates from across the world are expected to participate, officials said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The C20 is one of the official engagement groups of the G20, which provides a platform for civil society organisations (CSO) to voice aspirations of the people, they said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who represents the district, convened a review meeting with officials and stakeholders on Monday to discuss the preparations for the summit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mein inspected the places where the delegates would stay, and the venues for important conferences and meetings to be held during the summit, the officials said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also visited model villages Jona-I and Empong, which have been selected for the proposed visit of C20 delegates, who would get a glimpse of rural Arunachal, they added.
