The tenders will be invited in eight packages of about 50 km each to expedite the work implementation and also to enable the participation of local contractors as decided by the Ministry.<br \/>\nThis was informed by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein while reviewing the work progress under the Highway in the 9th Highway Monitoring Committee meeting today in Itanagar.<br \/>\nMein asked the representative of MoRT&amp;H to expedite the survey work and prepare the DPR immediately so that repair and maintenance can be done before onset of the monsoon.<br \/>\nMein informed that the DPR for the remaining two packages of Itanagar to Banderdewa four-lane Highway, i.e. Package B &amp; C from Papu Nallah to Banderdewa has already been submitted to the Ministry in the month of February for consideration.<br \/>\nHe further said bringing the border areas under the road networks is important as it is found that due to communication problem, border areas are abandoned as people often migrate to the plains due to lack of proper connectivity and facilities.<br \/>\nHe stressed on improving the road quality while building roads.<br \/>\nChief Secretary, Satya Gopal stressed on joint survey by the officers of MoRTH and Highway Officers along the Potin to Pangin Trans-Arunachal Highway in 10 days and to prepare and submit the DPR immediately.<br \/>\nHe emphasised on implementations of road development projects in time bound manner and to achieve the target and objective set by the government well in time.<br \/>\nPWD Commissioner, Bilatee Pertin said that the road connectivity is a national priority and the physical progress on connectivity must be actually visible on the ground.<br \/>\nThe meeting also reviewed the progress of work under the National Highways (NH) in the state and state roads under SARDP-NE.<br \/>\nVarious issues related to land acquisition, forest clearance and quarry problem and law and order problems faced by different implementing agencies in the state were also discussed.<br \/>\nThe meeting was attended by Chief Engineer (Highway), Chief Engineers of Vartak, Arunank, Brahmank and Udayak under BRO, representative of RO MoRT&amp;H and Indian Army, General Manager NHIDCL, DCs and SEs &amp; EEs of Highway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mein stresses for roads in border areas ITANAGAR, Mar 8: The Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway (MoRT&amp;H) will retender a portion of the Potin-Pangin Road under the Trans-Arunachal Highway.
