{"id":218291,"date":"2023-06-13T01:07:51","date_gmt":"2023-06-12T19:37:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=218291"},"modified":"2023-06-13T01:07:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-12T19:37:51","slug":"candlelight-march-held-for-manipur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/06\/13\/candlelight-march-held-for-manipur\/","title":{"rendered":"Candlelight march held for Manipur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 12 Jun:<\/strong> A large number of people participated in a candlelight march, organised by the Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF), from Akashdeep to the tennis court here on Tuesday evening as a mark of solidarity with the people of Manipur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ACF president Tarh Miri highlighted the prevailing situation in Manipur and urged the government of India and Manipur CM Biren Singh to restore peace and unity in the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Until 2014, we did not get to witness such incidents in the country. However, only after 2014 we are witnessing such things,&#8221; he said, referring<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0to demolition of churches in Manipur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ACF secretary-general James Techi Tara said: &#8220;We are not against any community &#8211; either Kuki or Meitei &#8211; living here in our state.
