{"id":218480,"date":"2023-06-16T00:19:12","date_gmt":"2023-06-15T18:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=218480"},"modified":"2023-06-16T00:19:12","modified_gmt":"2023-06-15T18:49:12","slug":"teachers-training-prog-organised","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/06\/16\/teachers-training-prog-organised\/","title":{"rendered":"Teachers&#8217; training prog organised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>DIYUN, 14 Jun:<\/strong> More than 100 teachers from 30 government primary and upper primary schools benefitted from a five-day capacity building programme organised here recently in preparation for the 2023-&#8217;24 academic year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the programme, which focused on building the teachers&#8217; capacity to effectively and efficiently teach lessons, the teachers received training on the use of teaching-learning materials (TLM), teachers&#8217; handbook on foundational literacy and numeracy, classroom management, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme covered four major areas of literacy and numeracy. In the literacy section, the main components comprised &#8216;speaking and listening&#8217;, &#8216;reading fluency&#8217;, &#8216;reading comprehension&#8217; and &#8216;writing&#8217;, while the session on numeracy contained &#8216;pre-number concepts&#8217;, &#8216;number operation&#8217;, &#8216;shapes and spatial understanding&#8217;, &#8216;measurement&#8217;, and &#8216;data handling&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training programme was organised collaboratively by the Changlang district administration, the education department, and NGO India Foundation for Education Transformation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, DC Sunny K Singh, who along with the DDSE attended the opening session, lamented &#8220;the poor performance of the district as indicated in the National Achievement Survey-2021 report and the learning levels study conducted by the ASER,&#8221; and urged the teachers to effectively use the TLMs and teaching manuals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DIYUN, 14 Jun: More than 100 teachers from 30 government primary and upper primary schools benefitted from a five-day capacity building programme organised here recently in preparation for the 2023-&#8217;24 academic year.
