{"id":219044,"date":"2023-06-24T01:50:25","date_gmt":"2023-06-23T20:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=219044"},"modified":"2023-06-24T01:50:25","modified_gmt":"2023-06-23T20:20:25","slug":"heavy-rain-triggers-landslides-in-several-parts-of-state-portion-of-415-washed-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/06\/24\/heavy-rain-triggers-landslides-in-several-parts-of-state-portion-of-415-washed-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavy rain triggers landslides in several parts of state, portion of 415 washed away"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 23 Jun:<\/strong> Relentless rain has triggered landslides and flood-like situation in several parts of Arunachal Pradesh, throwing life out of gear, officials said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A stretch of National Highway 415, between Banderdewa and Nirjuli, near here, was washed away on Thursday evening, while a portion of the culvert formation at the Karisngsa block point was also eroded, Capital DC Talo Potom said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that PWD engineers have diverted vehicular movement via Harmuti-Gumto-Doimukh route till the road is restored.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The lone hanging bridge connecting Puroik Colony in Papu Nallah with NH 415 has also been damaged, Potom said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Balipara-Charduar-Tawang road between Elephant and Sessa has been blocked after a massive landslide struck, officials in West Kameng district said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Driving along the road has been precarious for many days due to inclement weather and poor visibility, they said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Blockages have also been reported at numerous points along the Aalo-Pangin road in West Siang district, PWD (Highway) Assistant Engineer Gemar Padu said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The department has engaged human resource and machinery to clear the debris, Padu said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Flood-like situation has also been reported from Lohit, Namsai and other districts, with major rivers in spate, the officials said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The state has been receiving heavy rainfall in many places for the last few days.
