{"id":220322,"date":"2023-07-13T01:05:16","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T19:35:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=220322"},"modified":"2023-07-13T01:05:16","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T19:35:16","slug":"meet-on-climate-change-human-health-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/07\/13\/meet-on-climate-change-human-health-held\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet on climate change &#038; human health held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PASIGHAT, Jul 12:<\/strong> A meeting of the district level task force on &#8216;climate change and human health&#8217; was held here in East Siang district on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chairing the meeting, East Siang DC Tayi Taggu said that effects of climate change on human health are increasingly a matter of global concern, which needs to be addressed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting every member of the DTF from various departments shared their ideas to mitigate the ill effects of climate change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The district agriculture officer spoke on the ill effects of weedicides and pesticides, which badly affects the soil quality and cause various health problems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">PHE EE said that deforestration is taking away drinking water sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DMO Dr. Radesh Tatan, DDMO, DVO, district transport officer and district epidemiologist (IDSP-DSU) also spoke.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, district nodal officer for NPCCHH Dr. Tarik Talom gave a presentation on climate change and human health, the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders.\u00a0 (DIPRO)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PASIGHAT, Jul 12: A meeting of the district level task force on &#8216;climate change and human health&#8217; was held here in East Siang district on Wednesday.
