{"id":222520,"date":"2023-08-18T00:17:14","date_gmt":"2023-08-17T18:47:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=222520"},"modified":"2023-08-18T00:17:14","modified_gmt":"2023-08-17T18:47:14","slug":"rare-heart-procedure-performed-at-trihms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2023\/08\/18\/rare-heart-procedure-performed-at-trihms\/","title":{"rendered":"Rare heart procedure performed at TRIHMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAHARLAGUN, 17 Aug:<\/strong> The cardiology department of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health &amp; Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) here has successfully performed the first coronary angioplasty (radial) percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) procedure in the state on Wednesday, a hospital official said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cardiology Associate Professor Dr Rinchin Dorjee Megeji and Assistant Professor Dr Tony Ete headed the medical team that achieved the milestone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The department&#8217;s cath lab staff, including nurses and technicians, played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the procedure, the official said, adding that the lab was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on 13 August.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Words cannot adequately capture the immense joy we feel. This achievement is the culmination of years of dedicated effort and represents a significant step forward in medical science in Arunachal Pradesh,&#8221; the doctor duo said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They also thanked Khandu, Health Minister Alo Libang, TRIHMS Director Dr Moji Jini and other individuals and authorities for their support.
