{"id":2353,"date":"2017-09-20T01:52:39","date_gmt":"2017-09-19T20:22:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=2353"},"modified":"2017-09-20T01:52:39","modified_gmt":"2017-09-19T20:22:39","slug":"ssci-appeals-parents-to-get-children-immunised","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2017\/09\/20\/ssci-appeals-parents-to-get-children-immunised\/","title":{"rendered":"SSCI appeals parents to get children immunised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Sep 19:<\/strong> The State Steering Committee for Immunization (SSCI) appealed to the parents to get their children immunized during the ensuing Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI).<br \/>\nUnder the IMI drive, children below two years and pregnant women are targeted to be immunized.<br \/>\nStarting on October 7, the immunization drive will be conducted for seven days a month for four months till January next year in 13 identified districts.<br \/>\nA meeting was held in this connection here on September 18, involving all the SSCI members, DMOs and DRCHOs of 13 districts, where the campaign will be conducted.<br \/>\nHealth and Family Welfare Commissioner, Kaling Tayeng stressed on the need for head-counting of the left-out children in villages to ensure that no child is left unimmunized.<br \/>\nSpecial Secretary cum MD (NHM), Dr T Raghav highlighted the preparatory activities undertaken for the effective implementation of the programme and the status of baseline survey data, district specific gaps identified that require urgent intervention.<br \/>\nShe informed that IMI districts are better prepared this time.<br \/>\n&#8220;There are some specific issues in the districts but those issues can be overcome and the target could be achieved.&#8221;<br \/>\nAll the members participated in the deliberation and suggested midcourse corrections in few benchmarks so that the coverage is above 90 percent.<br \/>\nThe meeting was held under the chairmanship of A Kundra, Chief Secretary In-charge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 19: The State Steering Committee for Immunization (SSCI) appealed to the parents to get their children immunized during the ensuing Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI).
