{"id":235391,"date":"2024-02-23T00:34:51","date_gmt":"2024-02-22T19:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=235391"},"modified":"2024-02-23T00:34:51","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T19:04:51","slug":"fire-destroys-9-shops-in-koloriang-3-injured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/02\/23\/fire-destroys-9-shops-in-koloriang-3-injured\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire destroys 9 shops in Koloriang, 3 injured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>KOLORIANG, 22 Feb:<\/strong> Nine shops were reduced to ashes in a fire that broke out in New Bazaar Line, near the ITBP camp, here in Kurung Kumey district, at around 11:20 pm on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two LPG cylinders exploded inside the shops, which made the rescue operation difficult.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three individuals &#8211; Byabang Sanjay, Nosi (both police personnel) and Bengia Tafar &#8211; suffered injuries from the cylinder blast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All three were taken to CTDH for emergency treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fire was brought under control by 2:30 am on Thursday, following joint efforts of the fire &amp; emergency services and police personnel, and the public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The shops were owned by one Bengia Kioda, who claimed that &#8220;the incident occurred as one of the shopkeepers had forgotten to switch off the electric heater while closing their shop.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kurung Kumey DC Ibom Tao has taken stock of the damages, and assured to provide early assistance to the affected people.
