{"id":236909,"date":"2024-03-13T01:00:36","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T19:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=236909"},"modified":"2024-03-13T01:00:36","modified_gmt":"2024-03-12T19:30:36","slug":"crpfs-inter-battalion-yoga-competition-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/03\/13\/crpfs-inter-battalion-yoga-competition-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"CRPF&#8217;s inter-battalion yoga competition begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAMSAI, 12 Mar:<\/strong> A two-day inter-battalion yoga competition of the Jorhat operational sector began at the CRPF&#8217;s 186 battalion headquarters in Jaipur here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Battalion Commandant Dharmendra Kumar Singh, who inaugurated the competition, highlighted the origins of yoga and the benefits of practicing it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Yoga is a tool that helps manage negative thoughts and maintain physical and mental wellbeing. The courageous troops of the CRPF put in a great deal of effort and dedication to uphold the internal security of the country; as a result, their ability to work may get affected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;By incorporating yoga into their daily life, they can give complete devotion and focus to their job and live a healthy life,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three battalions from Arunachal (36, 138 and 186) and nine from Assam (20, 30, 34, 68, 119, 142, 149, 155 and 171) are participating in the competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The yoga competition is being organised as per the guidelines issued by the Yoga Federation of India\/All India Police, Sports and CRPF Directorate General.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Second-in-Command Bipin Kumar Singh, Deputy Commandant Jogender Singh, Assistant Commandant S Seema Devi, yoga instructor of Miao-based State Sports Academy Vimal Kanti Roy, subordinate officers and troops from Namsai and Changlang districts attended the first day&#8217;s programme.
