{"id":23698,"date":"2018-03-27T02:00:37","date_gmt":"2018-03-26T20:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=23698"},"modified":"2018-03-27T02:00:37","modified_gmt":"2018-03-26T20:30:37","slug":"apcc-blames-bjp-govt-for-sabotaging-apscw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/03\/27\/apcc-blames-bjp-govt-for-sabotaging-apscw\/","title":{"rendered":"APCC blames BJP govt for &#8216;sabotaging&#8217; APSCW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Mar 26:<\/strong> Reacting to the recent controversy over the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) appointees, the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has blamed the Pema Khandu-led BJP government for &#8216;sabotaging&#8217; the laid down rules for the appointment of the APSCW panel.<br \/>\nSaying the BJP government &#8216;is expert in subverting rules and regulations,&#8217; the APCC in a press release on Monday also alleged that unconstitutional and illegal appointment had become the norm in the ruling regime.<br \/>\n&#8216;The APSCW was constituted to investigate and enquire into unfair practices affecting women, but by damaging its original principle, the Pema-led BJP government is endorsing a culture of unlawfulness,&#8217; the APCC alleged.<br \/>\nIt also said the BJP government, &#8216;which kept the women&#8217;s reservation bill as a mirage,&#8217; had left no stone unturned to &#8216;validate its political patriarchy by unlawfully meddling in a women-related establishment.&#8217;<br \/>\nIt advised the BJP to change its &#8216;attitude of unlawfulness&#8217; rather than merely chanting slogans like &#8216;Beti bachao, beti padhao&#8217;.<br \/>\nThe APCC further demanded that the state government scrap the recent appointment.<br \/>\n&#8216;A rightful person must be appointed as per the laid down norms.
