{"id":245164,"date":"2024-07-27T01:00:20","date_gmt":"2024-07-26T19:30:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=245164"},"modified":"2024-07-27T01:00:20","modified_gmt":"2024-07-26T19:30:20","slug":"fy25-budget-passed-in-assembly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/07\/27\/fy25-budget-passed-in-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"FY&#8217;25 budget passed in assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, 26 Jul:<\/strong> The Arunachal Pradesh Assembly on Thursday passed the state budget for 2024-&#8217;25 by voice vote.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein had on Wednesday presented a Rs 993.08-crore deficit budget, focusing on infrastructure, urban development and &#8220;healthy human resource.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Taking part in the budget discussion, Chief Minister Pema Khandu reiterated his government&#8217;s commitment to continue with the development roadmap.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We should focus more on skill development, so that the youth of the state could be job providers instead of job seekers,&#8221; Khandu said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;If we can impart skill development training to our youth, they could be engaged in several power projects instead of bringing workforce from outside,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Referring to the shortage of teachers in various districts, Khandu said that his government has already sanctioned 600 posts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Till the recruitment process is over, the government has decided to appoint 200 teachers on a temporary basis under the Mukhya Mantri Shiksha Kosh,&#8221; the CM said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The speaker adjourned the House sine die after the budget was passed.
