ITANAGAR, 29 Jul:<\/strong> The students of KV, Tenga Valley showcased their athletic prowess by winning 23 medals, including nine gold, eight silver and six bronze medals in various track & field events in the 53rd Regional Sports Meet, Tinsukia Region organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at KV Dinjan, Assam recently.<\/p>\n The events included long jump, 80M hurdle, 200M, 400M and relay races.<\/p>\n Besides athletics, the school participated in football, volleyball, taekwondo and air rifle shooting held in different parts of Assam’s Tinsukia region.<\/p>\n The school also won the U-17 football competition, while it secured the silver medal in<\/p>\n \u00a0the volleyball competition.<\/p>\n It is pertinent to mention that the school won all the six football matches they had played.<\/p>\n Ten students from the school, including three girls and seven boys, also competed in taekwondo, and won five gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals.<\/p>\n Three girl students from the school also competed in the Open Sight Air Rifle Shooting competition at KV Miao in Changlang district.<\/p>\n Akriti Mathur won a bronze medal in the U-17 category, while Janey Tamang and Laxmi Chetry won the first and second positions, respectively in the U-14 category.<\/p>\n A total of 46 students from the school participated in the sports meet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" ITANAGAR, 29 Jul: The students of KV, Tenga Valley showcased their athletic prowess by winning 23 medals, including nine gold, eight silver and six bronze medals in various track & field events in the 53rd Regional Sports Meet, Tinsukia Region organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at KV Dinjan, Assam recently.
