He was re-elected to the House from the same constituency in 2009 and 2014.<br \/>\nKena was elected as Deputy Speaker during Nabam Tuki Government and served as Parliamentary Secretary under the Dorjee Khandu and Jarbom Gamlin ministries.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu had expressed shock and grief over the sad demise of Kena.<br \/>\nPema, who is currently in the national capital, conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and the people, especially of Likabali Assembly Constituency.<br \/>\n&#8220;The sudden demise of Jomde Kena, who as a member of Team Arunachal had just started to bring reforms in the Health Department, is a bolt from nowhere&#8221;, said the CM in a statement.<br \/>\n&#8220;In his demise, our state has lost a seasoned politician and I have lost an elder brother, who was more than a friend,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Health and Family Welfare Minister Jomde Kena passed away in Guwahati around 9 pm on Monday after a prolonged illness.
