{"id":247308,"date":"2024-08-28T01:08:29","date_gmt":"2024-08-27T19:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=247308"},"modified":"2024-08-28T02:22:05","modified_gmt":"2024-08-27T20:52:05","slug":"one-side-of-nirjuli-viaduct-opened-for-traffic-for-emergency-usage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/08\/28\/one-side-of-nirjuli-viaduct-opened-for-traffic-for-emergency-usage\/","title":{"rendered":"One side of Nirjuli viaduct opened for traffic for emergency usage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[ Bengia Ajum ]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NIRJULI, 27 Aug:<\/strong> The Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) district administration opened the right side of the viaduct\/bridge here for traffic, in case of emergency usage, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ICR DC Talo Potom issued an order to this effect after conducting a meeting with all stakeholders, including the PWD highway department and the contractor, ARSS Infrastructure Projects Limited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The decision to open the right side of the viaduct for emergency usage was taken after the completion of load testing of the bridge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The load testing on one side has been completed, while testing on the other side is going on,&#8221; informed an official of the construction agency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The load testing on the left side of the viaduct is expected to be completed within a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 1.080-km viaduct over the Pare river has been constructed to avoid the Karsingsa sinking zone. The viaduct is one of the most important components of the 7.3-km-long Package C, which starts from Nirjuli and ends in Banderdewa. The viaduct itself starts from Nirjuli and ends in Karsingsa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The administration had handed over this stretch to the contractor in August 2021.
