The current syllabus primarily focuses on subject-specific knowledge, leaving a big gap in the holistic development of teacher-trainees, teacher-educator, lecturers and serious aspirants by not incorporating either GK or GS in the syllabus.<br \/>\nGK\/GS is an indispensable component of education that fosters critical thinking, problems solving, awareness of current affairs, and the government&#8217;s schemes and policies relevant to the field of education.<br \/>\nI request the APPSC to consider revising the current syllabus by only adding either GK or GS in the syllabus.<br \/>\n<strong>Tadak Gumja Tamin,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>MEd, Hills College of Teacher Education<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Editor, I write to express deep concern over the recently released DIET syllabus for the exam that is going to be conducted for the first time by the APPSC.
