{"id":249928,"date":"2024-10-06T00:57:59","date_gmt":"2024-10-05T19:27:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=249928"},"modified":"2024-10-06T00:57:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-05T19:27:59","slug":"the-void-within-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/10\/06\/the-void-within-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"The Void Within (POEM)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8211; Kalyan Kumar Dutta<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>VKV Kharsang<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our foreheads once held sacred light,<br \/>\nBut now the tilak fades from sight,<br \/>\nA mark of pride, now lost in haze,<br \/>\nOur ancient glow, a distant blaze.<\/p>\n<p>The tongue that spoke with words divine,<br \/>\nNow falters, whispers, lacks the sign,<br \/>\nOf mantras strong, of chants once pure,<br \/>\nNow silent echoes we endure.<\/p>\n<p>Our schools, they teach, but fail to give,<br \/>\nThe soul of life, the way to live.<br \/>\nFor faith is lost in worldly greed,<br \/>\nAnd knowledge lacks the moral seed.<\/p>\n<p>Our hands once held the sword of might,<br \/>\nTo guard our truth, to fight for right.<br \/>\nNow bare, they tremble, void of power,<br \/>\nIn battles lost, they shake and cower.<\/p>\n<p>Our minds, where once great trust was found,<br \/>\nNow drift on faithless, hollow ground.<br \/>\nThe fire of belief grows dim,<br \/>\nAs doubt replaces what was Him.<\/p>\n<p>Our bodies stand without a thread,<br \/>\nOf modesty once proudly spread.<br \/>\nClothes of honour, stripped away,<br \/>\nIn shallow trends we go astray.<\/p>\n<p>These voids we carry, deep and wide,<br \/>\nOur spirit lost, our hearts denied.<br \/>\nBut still, a spark can light the flame,<br \/>\nAnd guide us back to strength again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8211; Kalyan Kumar Dutta VKV Kharsang Our foreheads once held sacred light, But now the tilak fades from sight, A mark of pride, now lost in haze, Our ancient glow, a distant blaze.
