{"id":250395,"date":"2024-10-15T01:08:30","date_gmt":"2024-10-14T19:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=250395"},"modified":"2024-10-15T01:08:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-14T19:38:30","slug":"media-bodies-condemn-attempt-to-assault-reporter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/10\/15\/media-bodies-condemn-attempt-to-assault-reporter\/","title":{"rendered":"Media bodies condemn attempt to assault reporter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ITANAGAR, Oct 14:<\/strong> The Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists and the Arunachal Press Club have strongly condemned the alleged harassment and attempt to assault Toram Melong, a reporter for &#8216;Hills News&#8217;, based in Pasighat in East Siang district.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The apex media bodies received a formal complaint from the reporter, stating that the incident occurred when he, along with his wife, was purchasing a birthday gift in Medical Chariali.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said that three boys verbally abused him and used uncouth language after knowing that he worked for Hills News as a reporter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two of the boys &#8211; one of them intoxicated &#8211; attacked him.
