The programmes highlighted their rights and privileges, and the welfare schemes offered by the social justice &amp; empowerment ministry for persons with disabilities.<br \/>\nResource persons also demonstrated ways to manage problems in their day-to-day lives.<br \/>\nLater, an ICDS workers&#8217; meet was organised at the Arunachal Pali Vidyapith Society in Chongkham, where 14 mentally challenged children were identified by members of Secunderabad-based National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.<br \/>\nOver 150 persons participated in the workers\u2019 meet, which focused on the revised Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAMSAI, Apr 9: Training programmes for persons with disabilities (PwD) and their families were held in Namsai and Lower Dibang Valley districts on Monday.
