{"id":253790,"date":"2024-12-13T02:04:09","date_gmt":"2024-12-12T20:34:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=253790"},"modified":"2024-12-13T02:04:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T20:34:09","slug":"restriction-on-cardamom-transportation-through-namdapha-natl-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2024\/12\/13\/restriction-on-cardamom-transportation-through-namdapha-natl-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Restriction on cardamom transportation through Namdapha Nat&#8217;l Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[ Samshum Changmi ]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>CHANGLANG, 12 Dec:<\/strong> Changlang Deputy Commissioner Vishal Sah has issued a directive concerning the transportation of large cardamom through the Namdapha National Park &amp; Tiger Reserve (NNP&amp;TR).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As per the new order, cardamom farmers intending to transport large quantities of cardamom out of the NNP&amp;TR are required to carry a no objection certificate (NOC) from Miao-based NNP&amp;TR field director.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The NOC must certify that the harvested cardamom is not sourced from the core area of the Namdapha National Park or any other protected area,&#8221; the order stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Additionally, transportation of large cardamom through the park will only be permitted upon the presentation of the NOC before the police or at the Namdapha check gates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Farmers are required to present the certificate at Namdapha\/police check gate during transportation,&#8221; it added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The DC directed the SP and the NNP&amp;TR field director to enforce the order in letter and spirit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, the Yobin Welfare Society had urged the government to lift restrictions on cardamom transportation.
