The villagers also submitted a four-point memorandum to the deputy commissioner, who presided over the meeting, reports DIPRO.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Tasso Gambo said that the public would not be forced to donate land for the project but would be asked to offer land by consensus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The district administration and the local forest authority are merely a medium of correspondencebetween the public and the government in this regard,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DFO Buken Pao explained the advantages and disadvantages of the project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Officials of the forest department, wildlife activists, PRI members, and GBs also attended the meeting, the report said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HALI, 14 Dec: The residents of Hali village in Upper Subansiri district have agreed to donate community land in Lipo Modi area to the Upper Subansiri forest division for the creation of a wildlife sanctuary.
