{"id":260047,"date":"2025-03-08T02:18:13","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T20:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=260047"},"modified":"2025-03-08T02:18:13","modified_gmt":"2025-03-07T20:48:13","slug":"training-prog-on-enhancing-backyard-poultry-farming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2025\/03\/08\/training-prog-on-enhancing-backyard-poultry-farming\/","title":{"rendered":"Training prog on enhancing backyard poultry farming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BASAR, 7 Mar:<\/strong> Ten selected women beneficiaries from Basar, Tirbin and Dari circles participated in a three-day training programme on &#8216;Enhancing backyard poultry farming among tribal women of Arunachal Pradesh&#8217;, conducted at the ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre here in Leparada district from 5-7 March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training aimed to empower the women by equipping them with practical knowledge and skills in backyard poultry farming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme was conducted by senior scientist Dr Joken Bam, along with senior scientist Dr Doni Jini, and Technical Officer Dr Bali Yomgam, who provided hands-on training to the participants in brooder construction, brooder management, poultry care, nutrition, common diseases and their medications, biosafety measures, and care management of layers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Additionally, the women were trained in vaccination techniques to ensure better health management of poultry stock.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To support their entrepreneurial journey, each participant was provided with 100-days-old Vanaraja chicks, poultry starter feed, feeders, drinkers, veterinary medicines, and vaccines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This initiative is expected to help the women establish independent backyard poultry farms, contributing to their economic stability and livelihood enhancement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BASAR, 7 Mar: Ten selected women beneficiaries from Basar, Tirbin and Dari circles participated in a three-day training programme on &#8216;Enhancing backyard poultry farming among tribal women of Arunachal Pradesh&#8217;, conducted at the ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre here in Leparada district from 5-7 March.
