{"id":261044,"date":"2025-03-22T02:11:01","date_gmt":"2025-03-21T20:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=261044"},"modified":"2025-03-22T02:11:01","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T20:41:01","slug":"training-prog-on-advancing-crop-production","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2025\/03\/22\/training-prog-on-advancing-crop-production\/","title":{"rendered":"Training prog on advancing crop production"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>BASAR, 21 Mar:<\/strong> Farmers from Galu, Gori and Soi villages participated in a three-day training programme on &#8216;Advancing crop production and seed management in the mid-hill region of Arunachal Pradesh&#8217;, organised by the ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre here in Leparada district from 19 to 21 March, under the AICRP Seed project.<br \/>\nThe aim of the programme was to promote production of quality seeds in the state.<br \/>\nDuring the programme, ICAR Centre Head Dr L Wangchu briefed the farmers on the importance of the training, while horticulture scientist Dr T Angami spoke on production of quality planting materials for important crops like mandarin and king chilli.<br \/>\nGKMS\/IMD Technical Officer Kaushik Bhagawati delivered a lecture on the impact of climate change, monsoon preparedness, and increasing the resilience of farmers, and agroforestry scientist Dr Rajesh A Alone focused on scientific fodder production.<br \/>\nLand and water management engineering scientist Ashwini Suryawanshi highlighted sustainable crop productivity and seed management in mid-hills regions through soil and water conservation.<br \/>\nPlant pathology senior scientist Dr Raghuveer Singh highlighted integrated disease management in major seed crops, and explained oyster mushroom and its spawn production.<br \/>\nYoung professionals Dr Rajesh Khan, Mikar Nyodu, and Karge Basar delivered technical briefings on &#8220;participatory seed production on field and horticultural crops.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe farmers were later provided with kharif season seeds, water cans, and local hand weeders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BASAR, 21 Mar: Farmers from Galu, Gori and Soi villages participated in a three-day training programme on &#8216;Advancing crop production and seed management in the mid-hill region of Arunachal Pradesh&#8217;, organised by the ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre here in Leparada district from 19 to 21 March, under the AICRP Seed project.
