PASIGHAT, 14 May:<\/strong> Pasighat police have successfully solved a theft case reported on 6 May at a residential quarter in Officers’ Colony here in East Siang district.<\/p>\n Valuable items, including gold jewelry and silver coins were reported stolen by unknown miscreants.<\/p>\n Acting swiftly, the police registered a case Under Section 305\/329\/332(C) of the BNS, and endorsed the case to investigating officer SI Johny Tasung, East Siang SP Pankaj Lamba, said<\/p>\n Through dedicated investigation and reliable intelligence inputs, the police team traced the stolen property to Mirsam village.<\/p>\n Two individuals, Osi Taloh and Talom Taloh, were found in possession of the stolen items, which were subsequently seized in the presence of independent witnesses, the SP said.<\/p>\n The items were later identified by the complainant’s wife.<\/p>\n Further interrogation led to the arrest of the main accused identified as Kadum @ Kabang Pertin of Mirsam village, Lamba said.<\/p>\n The accused was produced before the court of the CJM here and remanded to judicial custody.<\/p>\n The recovered items were released to the rightful owner.<\/p>\n The operation was carried out by a dedicated police team comprising the investigating officer, ASI T.Ering, constables K.W Kharmo and N. Sawin under the supervision of the Pasighat police station officer-in-charge and guidance of the SP.<\/p>\n “East Siang police remain committed to protecting life and property,” the SP said, and urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
