Sikkim and Assam had literacy rates of 84.7% and 87%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Andhra Pradesh and Bihar recorded the lowest literacy rates, standing at 72.6% and 74.3%,respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Arunachal, the literacy rate among males aged 7 years and above stood at 88%, while it was 80.30% for females.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In urban areas, the state&#8217;s literacy rate among males aged 7 years and above stood at 94.6%, while it was 87.6% for females.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In rural areas, the literacy rate among males aged 7 years and above stood at 86.7%, while it was 78.7% for females, the data showed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 20 May, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma officially declared Mizoram a fully literate state, marking a historic milestone in the state&#8217;s educational journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this achievement, Mizoram becomes the first state in India to attain full literacy.
