Editor,<\/strong><\/p>\n Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for launching the Chief Minister Organ Transplant Scheme (CMOTS) – a visionary and lifesaving initiative for our people.<\/p>\n Providing financial assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh for kidney transplant, Rs 15 lakh for bone marrow transplant, and Rs 20 lakh for liver transplant is not just a policy move – it is an act of compassion. Many families in our state face financial devastation when a loved one needs such critical surgeries. This scheme will now offer a ray of hope, a second chance at life, and the dignity of health without the burden of unbearable expenses.<\/p>\n It is also heartening to learn that over 200 kidney transplants have already been facilitated by the state in the past seven years. This is not a small achievement – it shows the government’s commitment to making healthcare accessible, even in the most challenging terrains of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n Moreover, the chief minister’s call to focus not only on treatment but on prevention through lifestyle changes, awareness, and education is wise and timely.
