{"id":267972,"date":"2025-07-29T00:37:53","date_gmt":"2025-07-28T19:07:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=267972"},"modified":"2025-07-29T00:37:53","modified_gmt":"2025-07-28T19:07:53","slug":"training-prog-on-king-chilli-pickle-preparation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2025\/07\/29\/training-prog-on-king-chilli-pickle-preparation\/","title":{"rendered":"Training prog on king chilli pickle preparation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ZERO, 28 Jul:<\/strong> Members of the Pega women SHG underwent a three-day vocational training programme on king chilli pickle preparation, organised here recently by the Anjaw KVK.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the training, KVK food science and nutrition specialist Pooja Singnale provided hands-on guidance on scientific methods of pickle preparation, focusing on food safety, hygiene, and value addition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initiative aimed to empower the SHG members with skills in food processing and entrepreneurial development using locally available produce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A total of 20 kilograms of king chilli pickle was prepared by the participants during the training.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To support their efforts, the KVK provided all essential materials, including ingredients, food-grade packaging, sealing machines, and attractively designed informative labels, besides providingFSSAI licence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The pickles were sealed using a packing machine to make them airtight, enhancing shelf-life and ensuring better market appeal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">KVK Head Dr Debasis Sasmal commended the SHG members for participating in the programme, and encouraged them to take up food processing as a viable livelihood option.
