{"id":27056,"date":"2018-04-28T01:38:17","date_gmt":"2018-04-27T20:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=27056"},"modified":"2018-04-28T01:38:17","modified_gmt":"2018-04-27T20:08:17","slug":"rafting-expedition-concludes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/04\/28\/rafting-expedition-concludes\/","title":{"rendered":"Rafting expedition concludes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PASIGHAT, Apr 27:<\/strong> Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday attended the concluding day of the three-day rafting expedition, &#8216;Siang Rush Expedition 2018&#8217;, organized by Abor Country Travel &amp; Expedition and the tourism department.<br \/>\nAddressing the participants at a simple function at Abor Country tourist resort near the Siang river, the chief minister said such activities would open up Arunachal as a favorite destination for kayaking and river rafting sports.<br \/>\n&#8220;Arunachal has lot many things to offer in terms of adventure sports,&#8221; he said, and expressed happiness that the youths and entrepreneurs of the state are now investing in tourism and are keen to explore more in this sector.<br \/>\nEarlier, the participants, who included a travel writer, filmmakers, government officials, adventure tour operators, and others &#8211; collectively dubbed &#8216;Friends of Siang&#8217; &#8211; besides three kayak experts and a river guide, shared their experiences of the expedition.<br \/>\nThe expedition had been flagged off from Geku on Wednesday.
