DULIAJAN, 18 Sep:<\/strong> Oil India Limited (OIL) held its 66th annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday.<\/p>\n Addressing the shareholders, OIL Chairman & Managing Director Dr Ranjit Rath reaffirmed the OIL’s resolve to build a resilient, diversified and sustainable energy for the future, aligning with the national priorities of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.<\/p>\n Referring to the inauguration of the world’s first bamboo-based 2-G bio ethanol plant by the prime minister on 14 September at Numaligarh in Assam, Dr Rath said that “the commissioning of this landmark project is aligned with Government of India’s import substitution and ‘Make in India’ efforts and demonstrated the company’s pioneering role in bio-energy transition and value addition to local resources.”<\/p>\n Financial year 2024-25 was a landmark year for the OIL, marked by the highest-ever oil and natural gas production, supported by operational excellence and strategic growth. The OIL recorded its highest-ever oil and oil-equivalent gas (O+OEG) production of 6.710 MMTOE since inception, along with the highest-ever natural gas production of 3,252 MMSCM, he said.<\/p>\n On the financial front, the company reported a total income of Rs 23,987 crore (standalone) and Rs 37,830 crore (consolidated), with net profit of Rs 6,114 crore (standalone) and Rs 7,040 crore (consolidated), reflecting strong margins of 27.64% and 19.47%, respectively. The company also sustained a robust capital investment program of over Rs 18,000 crore on a consolidated basis while maintaining healthy dividend payouts to shareholders.<\/p>\n On the social front, OIL continues to invest in healthcare, education, skill development, sports and sustainable livelihoods across its operational areas, reaffirming its role as a trusted partner in nation-building.<\/p>\n Dr Rath expressed gratitude to the central and state governments, particularly the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the Government of Assam, for their continued support, and thanked investors, shareholders and employees for their firm confidence and contribution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" DULIAJAN, 18 Sep: Oil India Limited (OIL) held its 66th annual general meeting (AGM) on Thursday.
