{"id":279305,"date":"2026-03-11T00:08:06","date_gmt":"2026-03-10T18:38:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=279305"},"modified":"2026-03-11T00:08:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T18:38:06","slug":"drug-peddler-held-contraband-seized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2026\/03\/11\/drug-peddler-held-contraband-seized\/","title":{"rendered":"Drug peddler held, contraband seized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>NAMSAI, 10 Mar:<\/strong> The Namsai police during a search operation on Monday seized 26 grams of yellowish-orange powdery substance, suspected to be heroin, from the possession of one Chow Muthula Manchey (65), a resident of Nongtow Khamti village.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Acting on credible information regarding alleged illicit sale and purchase of narcotic substances, a team of the Namsai police conducted a raid at Nongtow Khamti village on Monday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The operation was carried out at around 2:30 pm by a police team led by Namsai SDPO Kengo Dirchi, accompanied by PS OC Inspector AK Pandey, Lady Constable N Amina Chowpoo, and others.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recovered substance was seized, packed and sealed following due legal procedures under the NDPS Act.
