The deck is primarily composed of aging pipes, and the makeshift wooden planks are riddled with gaps and uneven surfaces. For a structure that carries the heavy weight of college buses on a daily basis, this is not merely a departmental oversight; it is a significant public safety hazard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Every day, college buses packed with students, along with numerous two-wheelers belonging to teachers, students and public must cross this bridge. Even two-wheeled vehicles must cross cautiously, as the dilapidated structure can barely handle them safely.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover, the monsoon season frequently bring heavy rains to our region, and the risk of soil erosion or the failure of rusted iron supports is extremely high.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Key concerns:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Structural instability: The loose metal pipes and the absence of a solid concrete surface make it incredibly easy for tires to slip, posing a grave danger to two-wheelers.<\/li>\n<li>Heavy load hazards: The bridge was likely never designed to sustain the repetitive stress of heavy buses and trucks, especially in its current broken condition.<\/li>\n<li>Lack of alternatives: As this is the only viable passage for DIET and college students, there is no safer alternative. This forces hundreds of individuals to risk their lives every day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We must not wait for a tragic collapse or an untoward incident to make headlines before we take action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We earnestly request the authorities concerned to conduct an immediate technical inspection and initiate the reconstruction or comprehensive maintenance of this bridge.
