Editor,<\/strong><\/p>\n I wish to bring to the notice of the government the extremely distressing condition under which the Industry Department is functioning in our district.<\/p>\n It is indeed alarming that the office is being run by me without the presence of any officer or supporting officials in the district. In an era when efficient governance and public service delivery are repeatedly emphasised, it is beyond comprehension how any department can be expected to function effectively without the minimum required manpower.<\/p>\n Equally concerning is the complete absence of basic infrastructure. There are no officer or staff quarters, no adequate office facilities, and, most importantly, there is no permanent office building as of now. The department is functioning without the essential infrastructure required for the smooth discharge of official duties. I am drawing my salary and other office related expenditure from another district.<\/p>\n What is even more disheartening is the issue of career stagnation. Despite rendering more than 18 years of regular service, there has been no promotion whatsoever, while officers of my equivalent rank in other departments have already received promotions twice.<\/p>\n To the best of my knowledge, no other department in the district is functioning under such severe shortage of manpower and infrastructure. The present situation is not merely difficult, it is unsustainable. It is beyond one’s imagination how the government expects an office to be run single-handedly without providing adequate manpower and necessary facilities.<\/p>\n I earnestly appeal to the chief minister, deputy chief minister, and the industries minister to kindly look into this long-pending grievance with utmost seriousness and take prompt corrective measures.<\/p>\n A concerned employee<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Editor, I wish to bring to the notice of the government the extremely distressing condition under which the Industry Department is functioning in our district.
