Editor,<\/strong><\/p>\n I would like to bring to your attention certain concerns regarding the implementation of the teachers’ transfer and posting policy in East Siang district, particularly with reference to post graduate teachers (PGTs) and trained graduate teachers (TGTs).<\/p>\n It has been observed that in several subjects, there are currently no vacancies in East Siang district, while a number of PGTs and TGTs have been serving in the same institutions for more than 5 to 15 years without being transferred. This situation has led to questions regarding the equitable application of the transfer policy and the criteria being followed for retaining teachers at a single posting for an extended period.<\/p>\n The recent notification issued by the Directorate of Secondary Education has mandated that all self-request transfer applications be submitted exclusively through the online teachers’ registry portal between 27 April and 10 May, 2026.
