{"id":29172,"date":"2018-05-19T01:30:29","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T20:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/?p=29172"},"modified":"2018-05-19T01:30:29","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T20:00:29","slug":"da-holds-public-meeting-on-road-construction-issue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltimes.in\/index.php\/2018\/05\/19\/da-holds-public-meeting-on-road-construction-issue\/","title":{"rendered":"DA holds public meeting on road construction issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PANGIN; May 18:<\/strong> The Siang district administration on Friday convened a public meeting in the deputy commissioner&#8217;s conference hall here, in connection with the construction of the Bille-Migging road in Payum circle.<br \/>\nThe meeting, which was attended by, among others, the DC, the Payum CO, GREF officials, GBs, and panchayat and public leaders of the areas\/villages concerned, featured threadbare discussion to sort out the differences among various parties on the issue of realignment\/new site selection for the road.<br \/>\nIt was decided that a neutral, technical and apolitical committee would be formed to study the whole issue. The committee will visit the villages, conduct public hearings, and submit a report within 15 days.<br \/>\nDC Rahul Singh appealed to the public to not create hurdles in developmental work. He assured that the road would be constructed as per the survey.<br \/>\nVarious parties, representatives and individuals from villages under Payum circle presented their viewpoints and highlighted their apprehensions and grievances. All the participants acknowledged, however, that connectivity to these far-flung villages was the need of the hour, and assured their cooperation in achieving it.<br \/>\nThe GREF OC presented an overview of the project, including physical achievement made so far, and the reasons for the delay.
